The atmosphere is relaxed welcome vibe. No need to dress up but the food is definitely fine dining. We got our appetizer ( pierogi ) so fast it was so good i didn't snap a pic. The au poivre burger was loaded with flavor and big portions. The mapo tofu burger was excellent as well hand made not some soggy excuse pulled from a box. Will definitely be back!

This place is awesome! Matt Fish and crew have done a great job! Food and drink are great. The atmosphere is punk rock and Cleveland, reminiscent of Melt, but distinct. The place is small, but they have a patio and you will have a great time! Hint: get the chocolate chip cookies!

Intentionally decorated - felt like a slice of Cleveland’s history. The drinks and desserts were fabulous. We ordered the lentil dish and the house made veggie burger. The sponge cake with chantilly cream was fabulous!!! Subtle sweet falcons and nice texture. They have a big patio too - perfect for warmer weather. Street parking via mobile app.

Proof Public House is basically the return of Melt Bar and Grilled with Matt Fish at the helm of this restaurant as well. Melt was a Cleveland staple for many years after its appearance on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. Amongst other TV appearances. While Melt may be gone alot of its most popular items carry over to this new menu. If you missed out on the Parmageddon that was on DDD well it's still here. But this place isn't just the greatest hits of Melt. It has alot of new menu items that are really exciting. Proof allows for more than just grilled cheeses. The tandoori chicken is outstanding. It is some of the best chicken I have had. The tempature of both the white and dark meat was nailed both was juicy and very well seasoned. Most places even places that specialize in chicken will overcook the breast meat. I was super impressed by it. The ramen risotto is very clever actually as a great fusion dish of two classics. They actually do meld well together. Even though the chicken was cooked beautifully, I think the ramen risotto is the standout dish here just due to the sheer creativity on display. My partner and I visited on opening day, and I was thrilled to see what Matt Fish had returned with. We started with the grilled chicken wings tossed in the Agave Lemongrass sauce and French fries. We also ordered the Mopo tofu sandwich and the au poivre burger. Since the restaurant was just opened, the cooks were still getting used to everything, but the food was still delicious. There were a few minor issues, though. The burger patty was dry and overcooked, even with the sauce. It wasn’t a huge deal as I still devoured it. The chicken wings were cooked perfectly, and the sauce was delicious on its own. However, for some reason, the sauce seemed to get lost in combination with the flavor of the chicken itself. The side of garlic ranch that came with the wings was incredible My partner had the Mopo tofu sandwich, and it fell to pieces on her. She said it was still good. Definitely recommend giving this place a try! And we’ll be back soon after my wallet recovers a bit
